Welcome

We invite you to join us at the newest mini-fest in the Midwest! A group of Elders from all over the area decided we were long overdue for a new fest.

We wanted it to be family-friendly, affordable and fun! We wanted to be part of a close-knit community; we wanted to build on the past and point our noses to the future in all Her possibilities. So…taa-daah! Chrysalis Moon emerged, bringing the gifts of magickal family and opportunities for spiritual growth, exploration and relaxation.

Chrysalis Moon ’09 (“Old Traditions Through New Eyes”) was a great success! Christopher Penczak's, our Guest of Honor, blog entry can be read here: "Chrysalis Moon Tribe 09". We strengthened and grew the Tribe. Then CM2010 Grew and prospered as we practiced "Spreading Our Wings" and We now invite you to  participate in this great experiment with us this year and Join us for Chrysalis Moon ’11, “Taking Flight”

About Us

In November 2007, Elders from groups all over the Midwest met to discuss the possibility of planning a new festival. We have all have spent decades serving on committees, planning Pagan Pride Days and charity events, participating in many pagan events and festivals all over the United States.

We came to the meeting in hopes of creating something new after becoming disillusioned by other events in our areas. We wanted to create something magical, a welcoming atmosphere for all faiths and a sense of community—of Tribe—that we felt was lacking.

During the planning process we delved into what we envisioned a festival should be. We built on the past, acknowledging the wisdom passed on by all those that have done this thing we call pagan festival; but we also looked at where we, as a pagan community, would like to go in the future. Chrysalis Moon grew out of this exhausting weekend and continues to grow every day as we plan our third festival.

Nearly 100 people came together at Chrysalis Moon ’08 where we worked on “Reweaving the Web.” Last year, there is a feeling of excitement and hope as we celebrated our 2009 festival: “Old Traditions Through New Eyes.” We continue to appreciate the outpouring of support from our pagan community as we build this Tribe. Thanks to all that support, we know Chrysalis Moon ‘10 will be another festival to remember!
